Strato CMM can cope with heavy vibrations

The Strato CNC coordinate measuring machine (CMM) from Mitutoyo can work in changing temperatures, heavy vibration and a less-than-ideal environment.

It uses powerful 3D CNC measuring concepts to provide high accuracy and fast measuring speed on a production line.

The Strato has integrated active vibration damping Integrated thermal-effect compensation for instrument, and workpiece temperature variation within the range 18 to 22C.

It offers a high drive speed of up to 430mm/sec and has high-precision, dust-resistant glass scales on all axes.

The Strato has self-adjusting air bearings on all axes, with fully digital servo control for low-vibration movements and a vibration-damping ball-screw nut bearing.

Premium software is supplied as standard for user-friendly measurement and evaluation.
