Survey confirms seasonal dip in orders
The latest MTA trends survey shows a dip in orders for the sector over the summer, but respondents expect a recovery in the final period of the year.
President makes education top priority
Incoming MTA President, Geoff Lloyd, Managing Director of Heller Machine Tools, delivered his first keynote speech at the MTA Annual Lunch in London on Thursday 12th October 2006.
The exhibition fills Halls 4 and 5 and is a 'shop window' for a vast range of new products and technologies for the whole of manufacturing industry.
The exhibition is organised by MTTA - The Machine Tool Technologies Association - representing the machine tool sector in the UK.
MTTA has in-depth knowledge and experience of manufacturing industry and recognises the significant role of exhibitions in the marketplace.
Simon Brown, MTTA's Director General said: "The fact that MACH has almost sold out so early just reinforces the importance of the exhibition as a means of generating business.
Our exhibitors know that participating in MACH is an investment which will give them valuable rewards and the visitors know that they will be able to access new technologies and solutions to production problems".
Once more, the exhibition has attracted some of the leading machine tool companies from both the UK and overseas, as well as many smaller new companies, who see MACH as an essential place to promote new and innovative products.
As well as attracting thousands of visitors throughout the week and generating valuable business, MACH 2002 will be a platform to highlight crucial issues in manufacturing to high profile guests from Government and influential organisations.
There will be other exhibitions taking place at the same time as MACH, which, collectively, creates an across-the-board event for manufacturing industry; Metalworking is in Hall 3a, Subcon in Hall 1 and Welding and Metal Fabrication, Engineering Lasers and Automation and Robotics in Hall 2.
