Grady aims to raise MTA profile

A Manufacturing Technologies Association product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Aug 18, 2004

Michelle Grady has taken over complete responsibility for the public relations role at The Manufacturing Technologies Association.

Michelle Grady has taken over complete responsibility for the public relations role at The Manufacturing Technologies Association (MTA), having covered the position along with education and training activities, since May.

As well as working on MTA's activities, she will be working closely with Graham Shearsmith, MTA Exhibition Manager, on developing MACH 2006, which is organised by the association.

Grady has been with the MTA since November 2001, originally as Education and Training Project Co-ordinator, then Education and Training Manager.

During her time, she has worked hard to raise the profile of the association's education activities and to develop a range of services for the benefit of member companies and their staff.

MTA Director General, Simon Brown, commented: "It was felt that Michelle was the ideal candidate to take over the important role of Public Relations Manager at the association and I am very confident that she will be instrumental in raising the profile and image of MTA and our sector, both to the membership and to the media".

Mary Lee, MTA's Company Secretary, who had responsibility for education and training during her previous career at EEF South, will now take over all education and training activities.
