The Manufacturing Technologies Association (MTA) reckons that MACH 2004 is proving to be the success it knew it would be Exhibitors are still reporting orders being taken as a direct result of exhibiting at the event

Keith Rook, European Sales Manager, from Omax, manufacturer of high precision waterjet machining centres reported last week: "As well as selling an Omax 2626 machine, I think our most memorable orders that came out of MACH 2004 have been the sale of a 2652 machine for Iceland, which was purchased through our English distributor Aquajet Holdings and a 2652 machine complete with Tilt-A-Jet for Switzerland, which was ordered through our German distributor Innomax".

"The customers from Iceland and Switzerland visited MACH 2004 specifically to look at the 2626 machine with Tilt-A-Jet that we had on our stand, and also took a comparative look at machines our competitors had on display".

"We followed up both these enquiries and made samples for the clients and subsequently received and shipped both these orders".

Tony Mercer, Director of Atkin EDM Machine Tools, provider of precision EDM products and services, including spark and wire erosion machines and mould repair welders, was equally as positive, saying: "Since MACH, we have taken another order as a direct result of being at the show and have plenty of other quotations with prospective customers".

"We feel it was a very good show for us".

Furthermore, Hydrafeed, manufacturer of engineering products and precision engineering components, not only secured a number of orders at the show, but has also received a host of orders since as a direct result of exhibiting.

Rob Passow, Business Development Manager at Hydrafeed commented: "Hydrafeed had an excellent week during which they received numerous orders and enquiries, with the first official order being received within an hour of the show opening on Monday".

"Total order figures to date as a result of orders taken at and since the show are: Multifeed (12 + 33), Bar Support Unit (8 + 18), X-Tract (5 + 5), Multiservo (4 + 3), Transporter (4 + 6), Servo-Slide (7) and chuck packages (8 + 5)".
