The 2004 UK conference in the series discussing "manufacturing excellence through automation and asset management" in the process industry will be held from 15th to 17th June.
The 2004 UK conference in the series discussing "manufacturing excellence through automation and asset management" in the process industry will be held from 15th to 17th June at the Marriott Forest of Arden Hotel and Country Club, at Meriden, 5 miles from the NEC in Warwickshire.
Emerson Process Management is seeking quality presentations for the above conference to be held in partnership with Aker Kvaerner, Huntsman, BASF and the IEE.
The 2004 event builds on the success of previous conferences in this programme, including the April 2003 event in Teesside which attracted 400 delegates over three days for a series of one-day training courses, a multi-stream presentation programme and an exhibition.
Presentations of interest will include the following areas: case studies on implementation savings, operational savings, problems and successful solutions; safety instrumented systems to IEC61508 and IEC61511; new technology and novel products; energy efficiency; control system migration to state-of-the-art computer control from previous generations; integration of control systems with the corporate IT world; reaping the benefits of international and corporate standards; products and techniques for compliance with legislation and new safety standards; regulatory compliance, including 21 CFR Part 11, electronic batch records, validation, GAMP; product and process life cycle analysis; developing organisational culture for success; project execution - innovative ways of working; and advanced control - recent developments, both within and outside the refining industry, where such techniques have traditionally been applied.
Presentations based on applications that include measurable economic benefits are of special interest and are encouraged.
