Factory automation catalogue goes online

A Misumi product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Apr 4, 2005

The new Misumi website has been designed to be user friendly and offer all the facilities the user may require.

When working on the design of factory automation equipment, and general mechanical processes, lead-time is a key factor in any major design and build operation.

Compiling drawings, sourcing components, reviewing the extensive catalogue library of engineering suppliers, quotations and delivery are the key elements involved during the design process than can extend the overall lead-time of a project.

Misumi can now offer all these facilities at one location.

The new Misumi website has been designed to be user friendly and offer all the facilities the user may require.

And the company's factory automation catalogue has now been placed online.

Here designers can select the appropriate component, choose the appropriate dimensional requirements in resolutions up to 0.01mm, materials, alterations and any requirements they may have.

PDF catalogue pages can be evaluated for the previous mentioned information, and there are no hidden specs.

Technical specifications are also available.

Price and delivery data are displayed and Misumi promises to ship any quantity, value or technical specification of component in around 6-8 days Europe-wide.

The company also offers the free hard-copy catalogue.

Misumi CAD is available online or via CAD data CD.

Compatible with a variety of Industry wide packages, Misumi CAD can save invaluable design time.

When designers choose the appropriate component, a drop down menu appears.

Here they will find Misumi's extensive flexible-size range where a component can be designed as either a standard or customised item.

There is no need to compile duplicates of drawings as the design requirement changes: simply go back and change the size specification accordingly and insert direct into the CAD package again.

Quotations, orders, customised component requests where users can attach a drawing, catalogues/information ordering and many other facilities can now all be conducted at the touch of a button.

The user simply sends over a request with as much information as possible and Misumi's technical experts or sales team will contact them accordingly.
