Misumi introduces shaft supports

A Misumi product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Jun 11, 2009

Misumi USA has added two shaft support designs to its line of shaft supports and collars.

These components are used extensively in the manufacture of industrial machinery and equipment, factory automation, assembly and motion control systems.

The two Misumi shaft support designs feature: compact bracket-type shaft supports (Main Part Number STHMRB8); standard and guide long types; direct-mount-style compact design saves space; two-bolt assembly provides fast, easy installation; thick slit-type shaft support (Main Part Number SHATN10); precision-cast, thick T-shape support provides higher strength and rigidity than standard types.

This option is a low-cost alternative to machined wide supports.

The slit is machined after the mounting hole is bored, for greater precision.

Both shaft supports are available in a variety of diameters, and can be ordered to precise specifications.

The shafts are manufactured with 1045 carbon steel material, with a black oxide or electroless nickel-plated finish.

Volume discounts are available.
