Misumi will offer a series of free technical seminars on the value of specifying configurable components, to engineering professionals attending the 2010 ATX West show in Anaheim.

The seminar, entitled 'Designing a better machine faster with the configurable component', will be repeated on each day of the show from 10-11:30am in Misumi's Hospitality Suite at the Anaheim Convention Center.

In addition to the morning seminar, Misumi engineers will feature brief technical presentations every afternoon.

Leading the seminars are Chris Blaszczyk, Misumi USA's engineering manager, and Mike Melone, Misumi mechanical engineer.

According to Blaszczyk, the Configuration Tech seminar is designed to help engineers overcome the time and performance pressures they typically experience during machine design/builds.

'Our goal is to demonstrate through real-world examples and targeted exercises how the process can be streamlined with a practical, cost-effective approach that boosts engineering efficiency and productivity,' he said.

'Attendees will discover how incorporating configurable components can save significant time and costs by minimising reliance on custom-made parts.
