Low cost device server supports an embedded Java virtual machine, catering for the user who wants to run custom Java applications directly on a device server.

New from Multenet, the PocketPAD Java is a low cost device server supporting an embedded Java virtual machine (JVM), catering for the user who wants to run custom Java applications directly on a device server.

Phil Blain, the company's Sales and Marketing Director says that the PocketPAD Java is currently available at our distribution centres.

Based on the entry-level PocketPAD design, the PocketPAD Router has four RS232 serial interfaces and one 10/100 Ethernet interface.

The unit provides a Java virtual machine that provides the functionality to create powerful custom applications that run at the device-level, to easily add SNMP interfaces to your non-SNMP capable devices and to manipulate, filter and log data at the device-level.
