Wire feeders keep welding operations running
Murex Welding Products has introduced the Transmatic Lynx range of welding wire feed units.
Murex Welding Products has introduced the Transmatic Lynx range of welding wire feed units.
Three models make up the range of two- and four-roll drive models.
They are all designed for MIG/MAG or flux cored wire welding operations which require a small diameter welding wire to be fed over considerable distances.
This demands precise and reliable wire feed to ensure the success of the semi-automatic MIG welding process.
The Murex Transmatic has been long established as a market leader in wire feed units.
They are fully enclosed with sealed electronic control modules yet giving easy operator access to the wire drive mechanics for wire loading etc.
There is a choice of floor standing, swivel post mountable or suspended positioning to provide the most convenient working position.
Safety has always been the paramount consideration in Transmatic design, with the latest models operating from an extra low voltage 42V AC supply.
To enhance performance, selectable wire acceleration has been introduced, giving improved arc starting performance for aluminium and flux cored wires.
Inching, gas purging, two- or four-stroke torch switch modes and pre/post flow functions are also included.
The Lynx 4EHD model has been designed for use with the Transmig 413S and 513S electronic controlled industrial MIG power sources.
In place of the spot weld control, the 4EHD provides electronic voltage control and remote sensing facilities specifically for the 413S and 513S machines.
The other Transmatic models can be used with the new Transmig 333S and 403S MIG welding packages as well as other Murex or competitor MIG Power Sources.
Wire speed for all units is up to 20m/min with wire diameters from 0.8 to 2.4mm standard subject to the model chosen.
