TIG tips help welders avoid disappointing results
A new free publication discusses all the key areas for successful AC and DC TIG welding.
TIG (tungsten inert gas) welding is one of the most widely used welding processes, but is also the one which is often carried out incorrectly resulting in disappointing results.
To get the most out of TIG welding, in terms of achieving the highest quality of weld and completion of the work efficiently and safely, certain procedures need to be followed.
As a market leader in TIG welding equipment, Murex Welding Products is now helping welders with the publication of its "TIG tips".
"TIG tips" discusses all the key areas for successful AC and DC TIG welding.
It starts with the basics by urging welders to ensure that all the preparatory work is done before starting to weld - tungsten preparation and selection of the correct electrode, ceramic nozzle and filler materials are basic requirements which are often overlooked.
"TIG tips" goes on to highlight other key practical areas including using the proper torch angle, amperage selection and shielding gas choice.
From a safety aspect, there are certain procedures to be followed which apply exclusively to the TIG process.
