MVTec has launched an interface that allows the operation of the comprehensive Halcon software library for machine vision with the new Scout camera family from Basler The Halcon 7.1 pylon interface addresses all models of the scout series which are compliant to the transmission standard GigE Vision

In doing so, the interface follows the GenICam standard for accessing all camera features in a generic way.

GigE Vision and GenICam are the groundbreaking standards in the field of digital image acquisition.

Both standards are increasingly employed in industrial environments and machine vision applications.

MVTec is always eager to track industry trends and to provide appropriate interfaces.

The machine vision software Halcon is independent from hardware as well as from platforms and thus provides interfaces to all important image acquisition devices.
