Marl International has moved into new premises in Ulverston, Cumbria.
Formed over 30 years ago, Marl currently employs 100 staff.
The company focuses on the design and manufacture of indication and display products based on LED technology.
The company has three operating divisions: Marl International, manufacturing and marketing of LED products; the OptoSource component distribution arm; and the newly formed OptoSign, created to deliver illuminated signs and panels to the advertising, buildings and interior design communities.
Marl's new location remains in Ulverston, at an industrial park first developed in the 1930s, and since renamed Marl Business Park.
Explains Managing Director Adrian Rawlinson: "Primarily we have made the move from our old headquarters in Stone Cross, to allow us to increase productivity, throughput and efficiency, and to be more flexible.
We are committed to socially inclusive wealth creation, and believe that this relocation demonstrates an ongoing commitment to Ulverston, in preference to offshore manufacturing".
Marl Business Park was officially opened on 21st June 2002 by the Rt Hon John Hutton MP for Furness, who commented: "Here in Ulverston we now have a framework of companies at the forefront of technology.
This is a high tech manufacturing centre of excellence for our country".
Other companies based at the site include Systems Technology, Tronic and TMS.
