A new intrinsically safe version of the Vesta flashing LED marker from Marl International has been produced in co-operation with Victor Products.

The VL119 is suitable for safe use in Zone 0, 1, 21, 2 and 22 hazardous areas.

The unit can now be used for temporary or permanent indication of hazards and status indication in gas and dust environments, chemical and pharmaceutical industries, aviation and dockside applications, food and drug industries and Group I mining applications.

The VL119's long life batteries will power the LED to flash continuously for 12 months after removal from the special packaging which includes magnetic activation to avoid loss of energy during transit and storage.

Without any external electrical connections the LED marker is very easy to install and requires no maintenance.

The intrinsically safe VL119 flashing LED marker is ATEX approved, visible through 360 degrees and available in five colour options.

It is suitable for high ambient areas (-35 to +55C) and comes in an impact resistant moulded housing.

The LED marker is also resistant to vibration, UV as well as Jet A1 aviation fuel and de-icing chemicals.
