Richard Carter is the new Chief Executive Officer at Metafoam Technologies.

Richard Carter is the new Chief Executive Officer at Metafoam Technologies.

After completing his PhD in economics, Carter taught economics at Laval University and University of Quebec before being recruited as Vice President and Chief Economist of National Bank of Canada.

At the bank, he assumed various responsibilities over the years including CFO, CIO and the presidency of numerous subsidiaries.

After leaving the Bank, Carter became successively CEO of Cognicase-USA, Avensys and Furtive Networks - all technology-based companies - where his leadership contributed to rapid growth and profitability.

"The arrival of Richard Carter is timely with the commercialisation objectives targeted and for the upcoming implementation of our production facility".

"Considering his track record, Mr Carter is the ideal candidate for Metafoam", said Michel Brule, Chairman of the Board of Metafoam.

Brule added that Dominic Pilon, Founder and CTO of Metafoam "has led the company with a master-hand until now, and I am convinced that by having him focus his energy to technological activities will greatly benefit the company".

As Metafoam has just closed a first multi-million-dollar financing round, the team will have the means to establish a world-class company.
