Metafoam Technologies is setting up a new plant in the Montreal Metropolitan Area.

Metafoam Technologies has acquired its own equipment for the prototyping and production of metal foams, and is setting up its new plant in the Montreal Metropolitan Area.

Set to open on 1st June 2007, the new facility will allow Metafoam to meet the demand for its metal foam solutions.

The electronics cooling industry has shown enthusiasm for solutions developed by the company.

Metal foam components are used notably in vapour chambers, heat pipes as well as in thermosyphons for 1U, 2U and 4U servers.

The new production facility will also facilitate the company answers a growing demand from other industries.

Up until now, Metafoam has been housed at the Crossroads for Industrial Materials Innovation (CIMI) and benefited from the prototyping facilities of the National Research Council Canada (NRC) in the Montreal area, precisely in Boucherville.
