DC LVDTs take conditioning onboard
The DC 750 Series of DC-operated LVDT position sensors promises highly accurate, repeatable measurement in a variety of OEM applications.
The DC 750 Series of DC-operated LVDT position sensors promises highly accurate, repeatable measurement in a variety of OEM applications.
Offered in a standard 19mm diameter, these economical LVDTs units are ideal for machine tool positioning, hydraulic cylinder positioning, valve position sensing and automatic assembly equipment.
With built-in electronics that provide the desirable features of an AC-LVDT such as frictionless operation and dynamic response, the DC 750 also provides the convenience and simplicity of a +15V DC input and a precalibrated 0 to +10V DC output.
Requiring no external signal conditioning, units operate in conjunction with PLCs, digital indicators, A/D convertors, computer-based data processors and QC data collection systems.
Rather than incorporating conventional hybrid microcircuitry, the DC 750 uses an ultracompact monolithic chip to achieve superior performance.
The monolithic circuitry contains all the electronics necessary to provide AC excitation to the primary of the LVDT and to demodulate and amplify the analogue signal from the LVDT.
With a ratiometric design that compensates for power supply deviations, the monolithic chip provides for superior operational stability and resistance to input variations.
The DC 750 exhibits low output impedance, excellent repeatability (error of less than 0.01% of FSO), high resolution and the highest sensitivity consistent with good linearity (maximum linearity error of +/-0.25% FRO).
Available in full-scale measurement ranges from +/-1.25 to +/-250mm, the DC 750 LVDTs operate in temperature extremes of -20 to +70C.
Units incorporate high-density glass-filled polymer coil forms for thermal stability and magnetically shielded stainless steel housings that reduce the effects of any external AC magnetic field.
To meet a variety of application requirements, the DC 750 Series of LVDTs are offered with several standard options including Teflon bore liners and metric threaded cores.
Pricing for the DC 750 Series range start from $216.
