A range of torsionally rigid backlash-free shaft couplings complies with the requirements of ATEX Directive 94/9/EC.

Mayr Transmissions has a range of torsionally rigid backlash-free shaft couplings that comply with the requirements of ATEX Directive 94/9/EC The Mayr membrane-type couplings are designed to suit a wide variety of demanding industrial applications, with standard sizes, including hubs with finish bore and keyway to cover the torque range to 80,000Nm

Advantages of the Mayr membrane couplings include ease of installation, versatility of application, reliability and cost effectiveness.

The couplings are designed for a virtually infinite operating life and with no relative moving parts, they require little or no maintenance.

The ability to operate in either direction makes the coupling particularly versatile, as does the choice of hub configurations to suit various shaft diameters.

The coated carbon steel hardware provides corrosion protection.
