A new power transmission product from Mayr, the ROBA - contitorque Continuous Slip Clutch and Brake unit is claimed to offer the machine manufacturer a series of adjustable, reliable, non-contact wear free, constant torque units.

The slip clutch/brake is said to be suitable for slip duties such as winders and driven pinch rolls, screw cap closing, and small test dynamometers, for instance.

The ROBA units offer contactless, wear-free, torque transmission, soft start and take up, accurate repeatability and precise torque limitation.

Other features include wear-free, no contamination due to abrasion, clutch or brake application, load holding, compact overall dimensions and easily adjustable with graduated torque indication.

They are available with flexible shaft couplings.
