Mayr Transmissions has extended its Roba-DS Torsionally Rigid Coupling range with the addition of three new sizes of coupling.

Mayr Transmissions has extended its Roba -DS Torsionally Rigid Coupling range with the addition of three new sizes of coupling.

The new coupling maintains the patented cone seating arrangement between flexible disc and hub flange to ensure backlash free torque transmission with high torque capacity and minimum size.

The Roba -DS sizes 850 and 1400 increase the capacity range upward to 8,500 and 14,000 Nm nominal torque respectively.

The coupling is available as either a single flexible disc or double flexible disc with various spacer sleeve lengths.

Hubs are available with bores and keyways or with keyway, less the cone bushing arrangement up to 150mm bore.

At the lower end other end of the range, the new Roba- DS size six with 60 Nm nominal torque capacity is suitable for applications where bellows type couplings are not considered adequate and where a more robust type of backlash free shaft coupling is required.

With a maximum speed of 15,000rpm and low weight and inertia for optimum dynamic drive properties, the Roba-DS is designed for servo drive applications.

Available with either single or double flexible discs and with radial clamping or cone bushing hub - shaft fixing to 38mm bore.
