Aims provides the link between CAD and Metrology necessary to connect manufacturing programmes, processes and participants.
"We are very excited to be able to provide software sales and services expertise for the Aims solution", explained Bryan Novach, Vice President and Principal of Geometric Solutions.
He added, "For nearly 25 years since we have worked with many dimensional tools, there really has not been a good seamless way to deal with GDandT interpretation, measurement points, CMM programming and data reporting throughout the product lifecycle - Aims certainly fills a gap".
"Geometric Solutions combines world class solutions with some of the most talented people in the industry", stated Troy Niehaus, Vice President of Metronor responsible for the Aims Business Unit.
"Their dedication to providing outstanding service and complete customer satisfaction is second to none, and we are thrilled to have them represent the Aims technology".
Aims is a software solution developed jointly by the Boeing company and Metronor.
Aims comprises the software components for defining inspection, measurement and assembly plans, measuring the quality of manufactured parts per defined plans, storing the measurement results and generating process capability charts and graphs from the stored information.
