Water-based liquid concentrate equips manufacturers with the means to remove metal working fluids, quench oils, drawing compounds and swarf, either between operations or as a final finish.

Masco 100 equips manufacturers with the means to remove metal working fluids, quench oils, drawing compounds and swarf, either between operations or as a final finish.

Masco 100 comes as a water-based liquid concentrate that gives efficient, reliable cleaning in most cleaning machines and provides effective rust protection on all manner of ferrous components.

Very often cleaning is seen as more of a nuisance activity, costing money rather than adding value.

This is especially so if the cleaning is done between operations.

In reality the cleaning stage can have a dramatic influence on quality and productivity so should always be considered an integral part of the manufacturing process.

Choosing cleaners can be bewildering, with many products offering to cope with specific soil types, afford some degree of corrosion inhibition and claim to be compatible with particular cleaning machines.

For the engineer trying to choose a cleaner suitable to replace solvent based degreasing, the selection can be even more daunting.

Masco 100 helps take the bewilderment out of choosing an aqueous cleaner.

Masco 100 is an efficient cleaner for removal of quench oils, soluble coolants, heading lubricants, stearate drawing compounds, swarf and general shop soils.

It will work in both high and low pressure spray machines as well as dunk or flood wash machines, giving effective removal of soils and provide residual rust protection, allowing indoor storage of 10 weeks or more with no further treatment.

Masco 100 does not contain any silicates, phosphates, nitrates or boron and leaves no perceivable surface residue.

Cleaned work can be sent straight to secondary operations or heat treatment without any fear of affecting the following process.

Masco 100 is particularly suited to spray operation fitted with a typical oil separation system.

This oil separation property allows the solution to self clean avoiding re-soiling of the work and prolonging the life of the solution.

To further assist in running the solution a simple analysis method is available which can be carried out in-house to ensure the solution is maintained at the optimum concentration thus minimising waste.

Masco 100 is a liquid product lending itself to auto-dosing, bringing an even higher level of process control, where needed.

Masco 100 is currently used extensively in many areas of manufacture including removing swarf and heading lubricants from fasteners, soluble coolants from machined parts and pressings and even removing greases and soils from engine parts and train braking systems that have been in service, as a pre-clean stage prior to repair.

The product is ideal for cleaning prior to heat treatment and after to remove quench oils prior to annealing.

It also provides a clean surface for welding and as a final finish before inspection or assembly.
