16 June 2009 - National Instruments has announced that Dr David Barrett will deliver the closing keynote address at NIWeek 2009.

Dr Barrett is director of the Senior Consulting Program for Engineering (SCOPE) and associate professor of mechanical engineering at Olin College.

The NIWeek 2009 graphical system design conference and exhibition is scheduled for 4-6 Aug in Austin, Texas.

Dr Barrett will share his insights on how robotics in industry and engineering education is poised to revolutionise the way people interact with technology in their daily lives.

29 April 2009 - National Instruments (NI) has reported quarterly revenue for quarter one 2009 of USD158m (GBP106m), representing an 18 per cent year-on-year decline.

Net income for quarter one was USD0.4m Non-GAAP net income was USD3.1m, with non-GAAP fully diluted earnings-per- share (EPS) of USD0.04.

The company's non-GAAP results exclude the impact of both stock-based compensation and the amortisation of acquisition-related intangibles.

Reconciliations of the company's GAAP and non-GAAP results are included as part of this news release.
