A new range of linear bushings with unique polyamide end rings, for precision, press-fit mounting, has been launched in the UK by Nadella UK of Coventry Manufactured by Sferax of Switzerland, the bushings have a hardened, ground steel housing with a polyamide ball tray and end rings

The end rings have a slightly larger outer diameter than the nominal diameter of the bushing and this design provides an interference fit with the housing without any reduction in radial clearance.

This eliminates the need for gauging after fitting and enables accurate control of the clearance or preload.

The new design further simplifies mounting as adhesive bonding in the housing is not necessary.

Bushings are available to fit shaft diameters from 12 to 30mm and they have been designed to suit h6 diameter shafts.

Options include one or two integral lip seals and factory-matched shafts for greater control of clearance.

Typical applications will include: automation, converting, machine tools, mechanical handling, packaging, printing and medical equipment.
