The invited speakers for this event span a wide range of industries and academia across the globe.
Their presentations are sure to give attendees an exclusive view of the wide range of technologies and processes used in the industry now, and in the future.
Abstracts are still being accepted, and further information can be found by visiting on the NAFEMS website.
Dr Priya Prasad is Technical Fellow of Safety, Ford Motor Company, USA.
Dr Prasad has worked with Ford Motor Company for more than 30 years and is a well-known expert in vehicle safety.
He has been involved in various areas within Ford, including vehicle engineering and advanced safety systems.
He is also the author of many technical publications.
Dr Costas Stavrinidis is Head of Mechanical Engineering, European Space Agency, The Netherlands.
Dr Stavrinidis is Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department at ESA, which covers the classical space disciplines, structures, mechanisms, optoelectronics, microgravity and life sciences instrumentation, automation and robotics, thermal control and life support, propulsion and aerothermodynamics, and test facilities for verification of space vehicles and subsystems.
Dr Jean-Francois Imbert is Vice President of Engineering and Structure Analysis, Airbus, France.
Imbert is currently Vice President Engineering, Structure Analysis with Airbus.
His present accountabilities include structure analysis and capability harmonisation, improvement, integration and support.
Dr Milos Safr is Head of Technical Simulation, Skoda Automotive, Czech Republic.
The department is involved in the structural simulation of car body and interior parts, all kinds of crash simulations, including occupant and pedestrian safety, and fluid dynamic simulation.
Prof Stefano Odorizzi is Scientific Co-ordinator and General Manager of EnginSoft - which is a laboratory for technology transfer to the industry in the CAE sector, acknowledged by the Ministry of University and Research - as well as general manager of ESTECO - a research laboratory on optimisation and IT technologies, located in Trieste, Italy.
Prof Ted Belytschko is from Northwestern University, USA.
Belytschko's main interests lie in the development of computational methods for engineering problems.
He has developed explicit finite element methods that are widely used in crashworthiness analysis and virtual prototyping.
Recently, he has worked on mesh-free methods, techniques for representing arbitrary discontinuities in finite elements and multiscale coupling methods.
He is also interested in engineering education, and he chaired the committee that developed the "Engineering First Programme" at Northwestern.
