Help shape the future of the UK metals industry
The National Metals Technology Centre is inviting industry representatives to join a new advisory council which will help shape the future of the UK metals industry.
The National Metals Technology Centre (NAMTEC) is inviting industry representatives to join a new advisory council which will help shape the future of the UK metals industry.
The council has members from academic and research institutions, professional bodies and trade associations and there are up to four remaining vacancies open to representatives from industrial companies in the metals or metals-related sector.
Members of the council will meet twice a year to advise the NAMTEC board on the issues facing the industry, review NAMTEC's activities and provide direction for future initiatives.
Richard Ball, NAMTEC Chief Executive said: "The advisory council provides a chance for members to work alongside NAMTEC in securing sustainable benefits for the UK metals industry and I look forward to welcoming industry representatives on board".
The first meeting will take place in mid-2003 and individuals interested in nominating a representative should submit an expression of interest to NAMTEC by 31st March.
Membership of the council does not attract remuneration.
