Seminar looks at lasers for the metals industry
Advances in laser technology for the metals industry will be the subject of a one-day seminar on 16th June 2004 organised by the National Metals Technology Centre and the Photonics Cluster (UK).
Advances in laser technology for the metals industry will be the subject of a one-day seminar on 16th June 2004 organised by the National Metals Technology Centre (NAMTEC) and the Photonics Cluster (UK).
The seminar will focus on the ways in which lasers can be employed to enhance processes in the metal industry including measurement of dimensions, chemical composition, strain mapping and defect detection.
The day will also include a tour of the facilities at the Photonics Application Centre, as well as providing delegates the opportunity to network with academics and industry experts.
The seminar will be held at the Photonics Centre, Birmingham and is free and open to anyone who is associated with or has an interest in metal processing, forming, welding, pressing and finishing.
