The UK National Metals Technology Centre (NAMTEC) has added a powerful search tool to its website enabling site visitors to search over 10,000 pages of metals-related information in a single search Bringing together databases from trade associations, research organisations and metals companies, the search tool provides users immediate access to information on metal properties, good practice guides, legislation, research papers, journal articles and commercial information

The search features a combination of free to use and subscription based products, and further data sources will be added over the next few months.

The launch of the search portal follows the release of NAMTEC's subscription based metals properties database and an online directory for metal stockholders.

Phil Hays, Manager of Information Services at NAMTEC said: "The integrated search facility represents an important step forward in our goal of becoming the premier source of online metals information".

"Working together with trade associations, research organisations and commercial enterprises, we can provide a one-stop facility that will benefit the whole of the UK metals industry".
