Metals centre receives new manager
Dr Oluyinka Ogunjimi has joined Namtec, the National Metals Technology Centre as Business Development Manager.

Namtec offers a wide range of services including technical expertise, research and development, training courses for technical skills and management development and business support for companies involved in development projects.
Yinka will enable businesses in the metals and wider manufacturing sector to access these services and will be able to advise on creating strategic partnerships between universities, research centres and industry.
Namtec's Chief Executive Alan Partridge said: "Yinka's considerable experience with supporting businesses both large and small will be fundamental in developing our services and attracting new businesses to the Innovation Technology Centre".
"With such a wide range of services on offer we felt it was vital that we had a dedicated point of contact to help regional businesses access the support they need to gain a competitive edge in the industry".
Dr Ogunjimi has worked with start-ups and established companies for the past three years helping to develop and raise funds for new technology.
Prior to that, he was practice leader for the Applied Mechatronics Solutions Team of Pera Innovation, where he developed strategic partnerships for innovative technology development for manufacturing companies.
Namtec is the UK's research and skills centre for metals technology and its role is to improve the competitiveness of the UK metals industry.
The organisation can help with identification of funding sources and partners for collaborative projects in the metals and manufacturing sectors.
