The Casting Simulation Awareness Seminar gives a preview of the Cast It training programme, designed to improve the engineering capacity and profitability of foundries through casting process simulation.
This programme, which runs for three months, is funded by Yorkshire Forward and Objective 1 to help casting businesses to take advantage of the latest simulation technology.
Namtec is hosting the event in partnership with ESI to demonstrate the cost and time savings and increased profits and capacity from these techniques.
The seminar will demonstrate how the process reduces material usage, as well as mould and engineering development time, increases die life, provides value-added support for customers and improves component yield and product quality.
Chief Executive of Namtec Alan Partridge explains: "Both events are very specific to the needs of key sectors of the metals and manufacturing industry".
"The aim is to demonstrate how these companies can benefit from the latest research and technology to drive forward innovation and competitiveness within the industry".
