New from NanoVia is the patent-pending ScanLinx selective beam shaper and scanner technology for medical laser surface treatment procedures.

NanoVia is looking to introduce its technology into the medical laser marketplace for applications where uneven beam intensities and overlapping scanning zones create undesired and uncomfortable results.

The ScanLinx design can be integrated with user-selectable beam pattern shapes, up to six available within a dial indexer, and scanning sequences appropriate for different treatment topography and areas.

The optical techniques being developed allow for a homogeneous beam profile at the surface, providing far better control of pulse-to-pulse beam fluctuations that might occur during the procedures.

Custom designs are possible to ensure our customers have tailored assemblies that fit their specific requirements.

"Our Optical System Development Group continues to explore new ways to adapt our technology knowhow to unique applications.

ScanLinx is our first entry for medical laser applications", explains Todd Lizotte, Vice President of R and D at NanoVia.
