Small-volume mixer stays clean and cuts
waste

A totally aseptic solution for mix volumes as small as 2 litres facilitates cleaning in place and eliminates the need to weld any component parts within the vessel bottom dished end.

NovAseptic has created a totally aseptic solution for mix volumes as small as 2 litres, while at the same time facilitating cleaning in place and eliminating the need to weld any component parts within the vessel bottom dished end Designing a production vessel for the mixing of small volume, high value liquid drug formulations is a challenging project for most pharmaceutical manufacturers and engineering design companies

Creating a vessel dished end with sufficient material space to incorporate the weld-in components such as a mixer tank plate and outlet valve body, usually means that the minimum vessel capacity starts somewhere in excess of 10 litres.

Product wastage has been an unwanted, but unavoidable consequence of the process - until now.

This novel single piece dished end (incorporating magnetically driven mixer and outlet valve) is manufactured from a single piece of material (stainless steel, Hasteloy or other materials on request) and is completely drainable.

Product wastage is completely eliminated.

The diameter of the complete unit has a diameter of an amazing 160mm, making the vessel completely portable.

The complete dished end is supplied along with the mixer and valve top-works direct to the vessel manufacturer for a swift delivery execution.

All the standard NovAseptic mixer and valve options are available as part of the assembly.

NovAseptic claim that further savings are realised by elminating the need to weld, passivate and electropolish.

The unit is provided with a comprehensive range of documentation including material certificates for all product contact parts and quality control release documents.

NovAseptic has produced a special test unit to enable its pharmaceutical manufacturing customers to perform prevalidation studies on actual product formulations on site.

In other words, NovAseptic reckons users can optimise vessel design, and guarantee that the drug manufacturing specifications are achievable - even before an order is placed. Request a free brochure from Millipore ...
