New UK base aids instrumentation
training
National Instruments and Loughborough University has set up a joint initiative to deliver comprehensive training and education on computer-based instrumentation.

"Our teaching and research staff have built a wealth of directly relevant expertise as a result of working with NI technology", said Peter Smith, Head of the Electronic and Electrical Engineering Department and Professor of Photonics Engineering at Loughborough.
"NI LabView graphical development software plays a key role in much of the department's internationally respected research work including mobile phone antenna testing, assessment of drug delivery devices, and the simulation of fighter aircraft cockpit multifunction displays".
Instrumental in the inception, David Hackett of the Electronic and Electrical Engineering Department will play a pivotal roll in the initiative.
As part of the initiative, Loughborough University is using its expertise of NI technology to develop and host training courses for NI customers in the communications, defence, healthcare, and transportation industries.
In addition to annual conferences and training seminars, the University will host up to ten training courses a year for approximately 150 NI customers.

"With the impressive facilities at this university and its excellent geographic location, we can extend our high-quality, affordable training solutions to more of our diverse client base".
NI has more than 20 certified training centres around the world offering training to a broad-based audience, from engineering students to highly experienced engineers.
NI also provides instructor-led seminars and hands-on workshops, as well as online, self-paced, and on-site training.
