Alrad Instruments is to sell and market the National Instruments Compact Vision System along with FireWire cameras and lighting solutions for vision applications.
Alrad Instruments and National Instruments have signed an agreement under which Alrad will sell and market the National Instruments Compact Vision System along with FireWire cameras and lighting solutions for vision applications.
"Co-operation with Alrad reflects the National Instruments' commitment to provide solutions for all types of vision applications", said Ian Bell, Marketing Director for National Instruments UK and Ireland.
"Alrad brings years of imaging experience from a variety of industries".
The NI Compact Vision System (CVS) delivers the flexibility, ease of use, and connectivity engineers need for their automatic inspection applications.
In one rugged and compact unit, they get the simplicity and functionality of multiple smart cameras without sacrificing their camera options.
The high-speed processor of the CVS allows real-time inspection.
The system incorporates multiple digital inputs and outputs.
Up to three cameras can be connected for parallel inspections.
Full Ethernet communication and a serial port are available as well as VGA output for watching live video at full frame rates.
The CVS is fully supported by the machine vision software offered by National Instruments including Vision Builder for rapid prototyping and benchmarking, and LabView.
Vision Builder is designed to allow users to configure benchmark and deploy their imaging applications.
"With NI Compact Vision System, Alrad is well-equipped to offer any solution to inspection applications, from precise assembly guidance to high-speed packaging inspection", said Geoff Smith, Director of Alrad Sales and Marketing.
Alrad offers a variety of FireWire cameras, both monochrome and colour, ranging from 640 x 480 pixel to megapixel cameras that are suitable for use with the CVS.
The company also offers customers lighting solutions for machine vision applications together with bespoke custom software design, so the whole integrated solution can be purchased from one supplier.
