University of Manchester buys 20 NI Elvis units

A National Instruments product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Oct 30, 2009

The University of Manchester's School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering has bought 20 NI Elvis (National Instruments Educational Laboratory Virtual Instrumentation Suite) units.

These systems will be used for teaching analogue and digital electronics undergraduate course modules, as well as project-based work.

NI Elvis is an instrumentation, prototyping and teaching platform for engineering education laboratories, based on National Instruments' Labview, the graphical system design software.

It connects the theory, design and prototyping of circuits to real world signals, allowing educators and students to focus on results and concepts.

The interactive environment of NI Elvis encourages students to develop their knowledge of electronics through hands-on, project-based learning.
