The latest version of NavisWorks3 includes support for SolidWorks 2004 in addition to being localised for Germany, Japan and China This latest version has been eagerly anticipated since NavisWorks3 was released in April 2003

NavisWorks3 is a solution proven to be powerful and flexible yet affordable and easy to use.

Version 3.2 of NavisWorks3 further extends interoperability and accessibility, giving universal access to view, walkthrough and co-ordinate 3D design models regardless of file size or format and without the need for a CAD system.

Introducing support for SolidWorks 2004 in advance of the release of the application complements the growing emphasis on the need to interact with large assemblies and the existing compatibility of NavisWorks3 with the latest releases of the most popular 3D design software - AutoCAD 2004, Inventor 7, MicroStation v8, ArchiCAD 8 and Solid Edge R14.

NavisWorks3 is the result of considerable research and development investment and is an improved design review solution that fully satisfies a diverse range of needs.

Announcing the release of version 3.2 Peter Thompson, Managing Director of NavisWorks commented: "We enjoy ever increasing success in the German and Japanese markets and they are key to the achievement of our goals.

NavisWorks is committed to satisfy the need for 3D design review with both the right product and partners in these territories and this is evident in our timely product delivery.

This localised version of NavisWorks3 offers the benefit of significant product restructuring plus considerable new functionality including photorealistic output and Freedom, a free viewer for NavisWorks3 NWD files".

About NavisWorks3 Thompson said: "We have spent a long time consulting both those who use 3D design software and the non-CAD users who could benefit from easy access to the model output.

We know that NavisWorks3 adds value to any investment in 3D design software as well as improving and differentiating professional design services.

Offering a reliable way to challenge and check the detailed 3D design, whilst accelerating the review cycle, NavisWorks3 delivers improved design output and benefit beyond design and production".

Version 3.2 is available from a network of authorised NavisWorks Sales Partners, each selected for their focus on 3D design software sales and support, each with extensive resource, skills and experience.

In Japan NavisWorks partners Tokyo-based Informatix whereas across Germany and Austria the company has relationships with 14 organisations who together service over 80 companies already using NavisWorks.
