The NavisWorks JetStream fourth-generation real-time review application is now shipping and the company reckons navigation, collaboration and co-ordination have never been better NavisWorks JetStream introduces technology for improved 3D handling with enhanced navigation, better process integration and powerful new features including streaming large models easily across the internet

NavisWorks JetStream retains the popular flexible architecture that ensures easy deployment and a low cost of ownership, and the Freedom JS free viewer that allows all project stakeholders to quickly view and walkthrough 3D models in real time.

An enhanced Roamer JS is the dynamic hub at the core of NavisWorks JetStream with additional functionality delivered in improved plug-in components.

This fourth NavisWorks release offers significant additional benefits for both existing and new users in four key areas.

NavisWorks JetStream enhances an enviable reputation for ease of use with improvements in the core Roamer JS and the range of plug-ins.

Navigation is much improved with the addition of gaming-like tools such as collision detection, gravity and third person view which make the experience more realistic.

The Presenter JS GUI has been completely rethought and redesigned to give a straightforward five-step route to creating great photorealistic output.

Throughout NavisWorks JetStream new depth and power has been added but made as easy as possible to access for both CAD and non-CAD users.

The real-time engine and the way NavisWorks JetStream handles models has been rewritten to improve model handling, so whether you're designing a power drill or a power station, size really doesn't matter.

The real-time navigation performance of NavisWorks JetStream is remarkably smooth with even the largest models and/or on modest hardware.

NavisWorks JetStream will not force undesirable change in working practice.

Integrating easily with customers' existing tools and current processes, NavisWorks JetStream offers interoperability with improved import and export options so that NavisWorks JetStream can be tailored to fit existing process conventions and into established ways of modelling which can vary in every design team.

For instance, TimeLiner JS rules have been added for simplifying task creation in 4D construction simulation and Clash Detective JS can now import and export XML rules created as a company standard once by a single person for common use by all designers; saving duplication of effort and ensuring repeatability across projects.

NavisWorks JetStream removes the expense and inconvenience of streaming large CAD models over the internet.

NavisWorks JetStream nwd files just stream without any need for prepreparation of the model or third party server hosting.

With NavisWorks JetStream there is no setup time, no ongoing costs, just create nwd files with Publisher JS and open the URL in Roamer JS or Freedom JS.

Once the model index has downloaded (size varies depending on the original file format and metadata), navigation can take place as the rest of the model downloads on demand.
