3D modelling helps achieve record results
3D design review company announces record results for 2005 with profits more than doubled and revenue up by over 50%.
Navis Works has announced record results for 2005 with profits more than doubled over the previous year and revenue up by over 50%.
Peter Thompson, Managing Director and CEO, said: "2005 has seen tremendous growth for sales across all regions of the world, especially in the Americas, mainland Europe and APAC territories".
"In process plant, we have increased our market share dramatically, while in construction, our BIM compliant software is bringing tremendous business benefits to both existing and new customers".
"3D modelling brings both benefits and issues and an increasing customer base is finding that our products ease the problems in coordinating models from different designers using a variety of file formats".
"The company has enjoyed double digit growth every year for the past four years but 2005 has been exceptional".
"This enables us to keep on reinvesting in resources to increase our development to deliver best business value to our highly appreciative customers".
"For instance, we have doubled our development team in the past year".
In April, Navis Works won a Queens Award for Enterprise in the international trade category in recognition of exports of its software virtually doubling in the past three years.
In the UK, Navis Works has been used on the Terminal Five project at Heathrow.
In Europe, Audi has selected Navis Works as the design review software for factory planning.
In the USA, Mieczyslaw Boryslawski is using Navis Works on the Letterman Digital Arts Centre project for George Lucas, where over $10 million has been saved by using the smart virtual construction model.
