IG710 is designed for use in a wide range of converting, packaging, paper making and other coating applications.
Its high precision measurement makes it suitable for use in demanding applications such as thin barrier layers, coextruded coatings and the observation of chemical changes after a coating operation.
IG710's high speed 7.5msec measurement is up to 10 times faster than conventional NIR gauges.
This allows more coat weight/moisture data to be collected from the moving web for significant improvements in machine direction (MD) and cross web (CD) profile resolution.
It also reduces measurement noise significantly, allowing processors to operate closer to target.
IG710 measurement precision has been shown to be better than conventional systems by a factor of three (at least), for substantial gains in product quality and consistency.
The gauge is easy to set-up and use.
The IG710 measurement is virtually insensitive to variations in paper substrate type, colour or basis weight.
Robust, stable calibrations are factory set, so that users need only make a few adjustments on site.
Regular maintenance is not required, and the gauge is not affected by ambient lighting, temperature or atmospheric humidity.
IG710 gauges can be integrated into NDC Infrared Engineering's Infragauge Pro system, for profile display, data acquisition, analysis and / or process control.
They can also be used stand-alone with their own touch-screen operator interface or as part of an Ethernet or databus network in a factory-wide measurement and control system.
