The SK 700E frequency inverter has a modular construction for total flexibility, enabling it to be adapted to any conceivable application, with 'bespoke' versions supplied in volume.

Nord Gear has launched its new SK 700E frequency inverter with a modular construction for total flexibility, enabling it to be adapted to any conceivable application, with 'bespoke' versions supplied in volume.

Users do not always require the capabilities of an expensive fully featured drive and often only need one specific application function.

The SK 700E allows that feature to be added as required.

The SK 700E allows snap on modules, including various equipment interfaces, custom interfaces and Profibus and CANbus access modules to be fitted to the front of the inverter.

These modules can be fitted without tools.

Using a sensorless vector current control system, the inverter ensures an optimised voltage to frequency relationship, based on a pre-determined mathematical model of an asynchronous three-phase motor.

Thus, high starting torques, of up to 400%, and maximum overload torques are available to the drive while speed remains constant.

The SK 700E is capable of controlling any three-phase motor and is available with outputs between 1.5 and 7.5kW, with larger sizes released soon.

Options include encoder feedback for high precision, closed loop, speed control and an integrated positioning control for exact positioning of the drive.

The SK 700E inverter can operate in ambient temperatures up to 50C.
