Controller-only PCB for system integrators
The new AMC-E series controller is a natural progression fromthe North East Electronics philosophy of only building all in one enclosure style machine control solutions.
The new AMC-E series controller is a natural progression from the AMC-B controller which in itself was a departure from the North East Electronics philosophy of only building all in one enclosure style machine control solutions.
These developments have evolved due to the demands for such NEE products from OEM customers.
The AMC-E is a 'controller only' PCB, intended for system integrators to use alongside a wide range of third party manufactured stepper motor drives.
As a PCB controller the AMC-E can be incorporated into just about any suitable enclosure.
The AMC-E uses the same RISC processor technology as other controllers in the AMC range, providing system integrators with the same performance benefits.
Combined with one of NEE's handpad options, or their MMI panel design software, WinAMC(r), the AMC-E controller is ideal for medium volume machine production, where the cost of the electronics is a major issue.
Supplied as a single PCB, complete with the processor daughter board.
* Supplied as a 3 axis stepper controller for use with half stepping or microstepping drives, * Integral PLC with 20 inputs, 12 outputs and a programmable 0 to 10-volt analog output, * For OEM's additional services include providing wiring loom arrangements, separate drive PCB options and housing arrangements.
AMC-E stepper controller was developed in response to inquiries from system builders for engraving, plotting and light routing type applications.
Being a Stepper PCB controller there is limited flexibility compared to the AMC-B controller or the robust design of the single enclosure AMC4 controllers, however in the coming months, we expect it to be used in a varied range of applications by a number of system builders and OEMs.
If there is a demand, a servo version may also be produced in future.
