Cleveland Motion Controls has acquired NEE Controls, located in Gateshead, UK and Maumee, USA.

NEE has been at the leading edge of microprocessor based motion controls for over 30 years: its multi-axis numerical controls are used worldwide in many thousands of applications including routing, engraving and milling.

CMC has nearly 50 years experience in the motion control industry and is a worldwide leader in the manufacture of motion control equipment including motors, drives and numerical controls.

Through its Burny Division, CMC supplies numerical controls, drives, motors and other equipment to the shape cutting and metal cutting industries for a variety of applications.

"In order to better service the shape cutting industry and CMC's current customers, we brought NEE on board as a complement to our Burny Division", said Steve Giordano, Business Unit Manager for CMC's Burny Division.

"The acquisition of NEE yields a combined 80 years experience in the shape cutting/motion control industry and allows us to immediately extend our product range, expand our distribution channels and enter many new market segments".
