Enhanced functionality is provided by Nematron's Version 5.4 of its industrial automation software suite.

Other new features include on-line logic control changes, flowchart trace, and enhanced reporting and editing capabilities.

The ability to make on-line programming changes allows developers to test and adjust flowchart logic while the application is running, saving time by eliminating the need to stop and recompile the application.

The chart trace feature brings "power-flow" capability to flowchart programming, allowing the user to visually trace the logic path.

Improved reporting features include tag cross-reference and complete report printing.

Enhanced editing features for flowchart development include global search and replacement of tag names, auto-sizing flowchart blocks, improved cut and paste capabilities, and the ability to anchor comments to a flowchart block.

The new release also includes compatibility with OPC 2.0, with support for tag browsing and data access.

Nematron's suite of industrial automation software consists of OpenControl for machine logic control, Paragon for HMI and SCADA applications, and HyperKernel real-time extensions for Windows NT.
