Nematron has made significant new developments to its Formula industrial PC systems.

Nematron has made significant new developments to its Formula industrial PC systems The successful F1 iPC is complemented with an additional screen size option, greater PCI slot expansion capability, new Formula Industrial Engine and a completely new and compatible industrial monitor range

From a design and ownership standpoint the new products are all about flexibility, compatibility and Nematron quality.

The well received F1 is now offered with both 15in XGA and 17in SXGA crisp image, high quality TFT displays - with or without touchscreen.

The new 17in display offers a resolution of 1280 x 1024 pixels and is interchangeable with the existing 15in display.

A display module upgrade kit enables simple to implement field upgrades of the display module without having to replace the entire computer.

Using the same core components as the single PCI Slot F1, the new F3 brings increased expansion to the F1 chassis through the addition of two further PCI slots.

Using the similar core components for simplicity and ease of maintenance, the F3 shares the, drive technology, general electronics and motherboard architecture as the F1 giving a high degree of interchangeability.

In fact the F1 and F3 are interchangeable in almost every respect: display modules, cutouts, general dimensions, components and panel-cut compatible with the earlier Delta Series.

The F3 engine bay shares the same low power Pentium and Celeron M Series processor technology for cool running.

The engine bay cooling system is now activated "on-demand" by the processor to reduce unnecessary use of the fan and energy consumption.

New options for input power are also introduced with the F3, all Formula iPCs now support 24V DC power supply in addition to the standard 100-240V AC.

Formula Industrial Engines provide the perfect partner for the new Formula monitors in applications where there is a need to displace the engine bay from the monitor.

Equipped with the exact same specification as the panel iPC the Formula Industrial Engine is ideal where the customer has insufficient room for the entire chassis or perhaps prefers to avoid locally high vibration.

Designed to operate stand-alone or compliment the Formula Industrial Engine systems, the new industrial monitors share the same styling and core components as the iPC display modules.

Available with 15in XGA and 17in SXGA TFT bright image 250 nits displays, Formula monitors support both VGA and DVI (digital video interface) for "plug and play" interfacing, audio in/out, on-screen display controls, a "tidy cable" feature for managing inflexible video cables and VESA mounting arm points as standard.

The monitors use the same grade chassis as the F1 and F3 iPCs to achieve a quality assured rugged build and are panel mounted using the time saving and much copied clip mounting system invented by Nematron.

"Formula is delivering reliability and performance at a competitive price, as well as attracting new customers Formula is helping Nematron win back some old friends, reaching this exciting new milestone in the Formula roadmap dramatically increases the potential for the product", says David Hicks, Nematron Group CEO.
