Engineering recruiter wins Queen's Award

A NES Group product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Apr 24, 2007

NES has been awarded the Queen's Award for Enterprise 2007 for excellence in international trade.

The outstanding performance of NES has been acknowledged by its award of the prestigious Queen's Award for Enterprise 2007 - recognised worldwide as an illustration of consistent excellence in international trade.

Expansion of the specialist technical, engineering, rail and IT recruitment company across every major continent since it was originally founded in 1978 would not have been possible without the enthusiasm of NES staff for relocating overseas, where adopting new cultures and understanding different regulatory environments must be incorporated into a move away from family and friends.

Equally important has been the back up of staff from the UK base, especially over recent years, as the overseas business has grown materially and, in turn, increased its demand for parent company support.

This award is therefore a reflection of the hard work and dedication that all NES employees have shown to ensuring that it grows its worldwide representation and profits year on year.

Says Neil Tregarthen, Chief Executive at NES: "The Queen's Award is a great acknowledgement for both NES and the substantial UK staffing sector where, all too often, agency margins ignore the real value that can be generated for clients and candidates alike".

"We are very happy that this award is another indication to all of our stakeholders of the hard work and professionalism that goes into the NES Group on a daily basis".

"It will promote the UK recruitment sector, as well as UK business in general and do so across the world; once again illustrating the strength of UK enterprise both domestically and abroad".
