Netzsch Nemo have introduced two new automated barrel emptying units designated BE20 and BE200.

Netzsch Nemo have introduced two new automated barrel emptying units designated BE20 and BE200.

The new models, for 20 and 200 litre barrel capacities, are fully automated - with just one press of a button the pump completes a full cycle, emptying a barrel and returning it to the ready position.

A range of options can be specified to increase the versatility of the units.

These include: mobile models with wheels or castors; different follower plates, including heated models, to ensure that the barrels are fully emptied leaving clean walls and base.; guarding on 4 or 5 sides with interlocked safety gate; a safety control that requires operators to press two buttons to operate the system, ensuring their hands are clear of the moving parts; a by-pass with overflow valves; and pressure transmitters Two control panel options are also available - with fixed or variable speed pump drive motors.

Both models provide pulse-free delivery of high-viscous media such as silicone, glue, epoxy, resin, fat, ointment, paste etc., and have been tested with products up to 10 million cps.

The speed of descent into the barrel, and the retraction, are adjustable.

Maximum discharge rate is 40 l/min.

The units are suitable for emptying plain or channel barrels and, because they can accurately meter product directly from the barrel, can also be used to feed equipment such as the Nemo Robo-Dispenser, dosing pumps and filling valves.

Standard units are available in steel, stainless steel and lacquered finishes.

Special finishes for the food processing industry are also available.
