Netzsch Nemo Pumps have met a delivery target of just 14 weeks to supply two specially designed progressing cavity pumps for a Floating Production Storage and Offloading Facility for Petrobras

Walsall based Netzsch Nemo Pumps have met a delivery target of just 14 weeks to supply two specially designed progressing cavity pumps for a Floating Production Storage and Offloading Facility (FPSO) being built for the Brazilian oil company Petrobras.

The pumps were ordered by Baker Process Limited who are supplying specialised processing equipment for the project.

A spokesman for Baker Process says that, whilst other pump manufacturers could supply standard products, Netzsch Nemo were able to produce two high specification pumps to a special design and material requirement, and still meet the delivery target.

The two separator pumps, which have a capacity of 105m3/hr, feature re-designed duplex pump housings, pressure proofed seal housings and 90deg reduced diameter duplex rotors.

They are designed to operate at a differential pressure of 2.28 bar with a static suction pressure of 9.47 bar; and will be pumping a mixture of asphaltic crude oil and produced water.
