Pedigree buys more progressing cavity pumps
Netzsch Pumps has supplied SF and SO progressing cavity pumps for a new process line at one of Pedigree Masterfoods' facilities in the UK, following use on other processing lines around the country
Walsall based Netzsch Pumps has supplied seven SF and four SO progressing cavity pumps for a new process line at one of Pedigree Masterfoods' facilities in the UK.
A spokesperson for Pedigree says: "Netzsch pumps are used on other processing lines around the country, so were a natural choice for the new line which will also be manufacturing a new product." Netzsch Pumps have extended their SO range of screw assistance progressing cavity pumps with the addition of 38mm, 31mm, 21mm and 15mm rotor sizes to complement the existing pump sizes with rotors from 45mm up to 125mm.
SO pumps feature a feeding screw to enable them to pump less viscous products that would not flow efficiently without suction assistance, but are not viscous enough to be pumped using Netzsch larger SF pump range.
The SF range has a full size, conveying auger for non-flowing products with up to 1,000,000cps viscosity.
