More options in winches for pulling and
lifting
Expanded choice of air-powered pulling/lifting winches provides extra power and higher rope speeds for increased operating efficiency.
The extensive range of pulling/lifting winches from JD Neuhaus has been further enhanced to provide an even wider choice of these air powered products The Profi Puller 800-1 has been added to the company's smaller range

Crane drives suit more varied applications
The air or hydraulic powered geared travel units from J D Neuhaus were designed for use with crane bridges and hoists, but have been used for driving wheeled bogeys running on floor mounted rails.
With a compact design and all-up weight of approximately 30kg, this unit is ideally suited for mobile applications.
It provides a pulling capacity of 530kg on the fifth rope layer, with a full 800kg on the first layer.
Profi lifters in the 1200/2000kg range together with Profi Pullers of 1800/3000kg capacity are now supplied with 6kW motors, providing extra power and higher rope speeds for increased operating efficiency.
All these products feature planetary gear systems integrated into the drum and exhaust air cooling.
This ensures minimum maintenance and maximum reliability even with 100% duty cycle.
A high rope capacity is provided with four layer spooling, and overload protection is incorporated as standard.
Ease of installation, variable speed pendant control and a low-noise operating level are also combined with minimum air consumption.
Where winches are required to ensure that loads can be lowered under controlled conditions, even in the event of power failure, then JDN Profi winches can be fitted with a lowering control device.
This can be used for emergency handling of evacuation or escape equipment on offshore rigs and platforms.
The device incorporates a hand operated control lever (normally secured with a retaining pin), which enables the winch friction brake to be released.
This ensures that any attached load can be lowered with a controlled, moderate descent under the internal braking action of the winch vane motor.
Welded pulling frames can now also be supplied for all JDN winches to protect the underside while transporting over ground.
All JDN air operated winches (with hydraulic options also available for some models) are ATEX classified for hazardous area operation.
Versions with increased spark protection can also be supplied where higher safety ratings are required.
Optional features include longer drums for increased rope capacities with pressure roller for perfect spooling.
Emergency shutoff valves, a limit switch system and offshore paint kits can also be supplied.
