Newage Transmissions will reinforce its position in marine gearboxes for canal and inland waterway applications by featuring its full range of PRM pleasure craft transmissions at the Crick Boat Show.

Newage Transmissions will reinforce its position as the dominant supplier of marine gearboxes for canal and inland waterway applications by featuring its full range of PRM pleasure craft transmissions at the Crick Boat Show, to be held between 27-29 May.

The Coventry-based driveline equipment specialist will be exhibiting its PRM 80, 120, 150 and 260 series gearboxes at the Spring Bank Holiday event; which has established itself as one of the most important in the annual boating calendar.

The Newage units on display cover the full spectrum of pleasure and commercial boat applications and range from the simple, lightweight PRM 80 - rated at up to 35kW (47hp) input power - to the robust, twin countershaft designed PRM 260, suitable for engines up to 108kW (145hp).

The gearboxes are available through Newage's nation-wide distributor network and all four models feature exceptional in-service reliability and durability, combined with low maintenance.

"Not surprisingly, they are extremely popular with boat owners, which accounts for their use in the overwhelming majority of Britain's inland waterway craft.

The Crick Boat Show is one of the most important of the year for us.

It presents us with the ideal opportunity to update enthusiasts and trade customers alike with information on our latest developments, as well as provide them with advice on selecting the most appropriate units for their needs," reports Newage's sales manager, Roger Mills.
